Have you ever foraged?

As a verb, it means to search for food or provisions.

Most of us forage in our refrigerators, grocery store or the drive-through window.

When was the last time you foraged in the forest?

On March 4, Leah Wolfe, community herbalist and health educator of the Trillium Center, will lead a foraging expedition from the BLD Farm, 715 Furnace Road, Conneaut. The theme is “barks, buds, twigs and sap.” Foragers will learn how to identify trees in late winter and make herbal remedies from trees. Some barks, buds, twigs and sap are gathered only in the spring. Read more at:
